Red Admiral Small Needle Felt Kit is a fun, easy beginner project that makes one beautiful butterfly.
Suitable for beginners+ and children over 10 (or supervised crafty children 7+).
Skill level: Crafty Beginner
Size: Approx. 14cm wide
Techniques used: 2D felting, using Water Soluble Paper, adding details.
This small kit contains:
- Full colour, step-by-step instructions
- 7 different types of wool
- Water Soluble Paper
- 1 x 6cm Thin Black Wire
- Felting needles (#36 coarse, #38 medium)
- Eco Wool Felting Mat (made from recycled wool and 100% compostable)
You will also need: Scissors, water in small container, towel, pencil, pliers (optional).
Designed and packaged in the UK using ethically sourced and eco-friendly materials. Please reuse, recycle, and/or compost packaging & tools.

I purchased this box as a one off as I watched Steffi on a Facebook live unboxing event and fell in love with Donkey and just had to buy him. The items in the box included felting mat, tools and lots of exciting colours of wool, I think it's fantastic, I just can't wait to start making him
This kit will be wonderful to create with all of the bright colors and no fixed pattern. Because I bought 2 of them I will be doing a "stabbing" party with a friend as we make them together.
Haven't used it yet, but it feels soft, and I like how it's biodegradable as well. Can't wait to try it.

Looking at the kit I am very impressed with the quality. I am not going to be making it yet so can't comment on how it goes together, but looking forward to starting it later in the year.

I was really pleased with this kit. Everything needed in the bix including: felt, needles, felting pad, instructions, antenna wire and wash away stabiliser to felt butterfly on. Instrucstions were very clear and detailed with colour pictures of each step. The results were realistic, helped by the fact that the wash away stabaliser meant you could pose the wings before it dried.
