New Improved Recipe-

We are currently offering 4 colours in both, Soft Woolly Wax and Firm Woolly Wax.

Woolly Wax Round Shape - Soft - this is a soft version for smoothing down wool fibres and preparing wire for wool wraps.

Woolly Wax Star Shape- Firmthis is the hardest version for smoothing down wool fibres and preparing wire for wool wraps. The wax can be used on its own for beaks, claws etc.

This is our own recipe, made in house and only available from us! It is made from beeswax, a blend of other European waxes/oils as well as lanolin and resin.

*Please note: there are no nut containing ingredients in the Woolly Wax, however the wax is produced in an area where nuts are used.*

No need to melt this wax. Simply scrape off what you need with a teaspoon or the back of your nail. It softens in your hands to become pliable and slightly sticky. This creates a firm to the touch, slightly tacky finish, which can be re-shaped through just the heat in your hands.

NB: This wax has a low melting point so keep away from direct sunlight and sources of heat. Store at room temperature.

Love it! Perfect for preparing wire ready for wrapping. With just enough grip so it's not overly sticky.

Fantastic feet!

I used the soft version of this wax to make tiny feet and paws. It’s brilliant! So easy to blend into the wool with your fingers, a little goes a long way and I love the heart shape for pulling the wire through.
It’s much easier to soften than the original beeswax. 100% a keeper for me!

The Bees knees!

This wax is the fantastic for making claws. It may feel a bit tricky to handle at first, but once you get the technique right, it works a treat and makes very realistic claws and beaks. Smells lovely too!

I didn't like this

The very small hearts are cumbersome to handle. But that isn't the reason I didn't care for it. It simply didn't have enough stick to it to help fiber adhere to wire. I have used a tacky substance from a USA seller and it worked much better. I was out of that so thought I would try this. Not impressed.
