Water Soluble 'Paper' / Fabric
We love this 'paper' which in fact feels more like a fabric and works really well for needle felting. It allows you to create slightly shiny / waxy items such as feathers and petals.
How to use it:
Draw your outline onto the heat-dissolving paper, then needle felt a thin layer of wool over it. For best results, place a second sheet of heat-dissolving paper on top before adding more wool. If needed, add extra wisps of wool or a wire (ideal for feathers or large petals). Lift the shape off the felting mat and felt thoroughly from both sides. Trim away the excess paper around the shape. Sandwich it between two sheets of greaseproof paper and press with a hot iron for a few seconds. The heat-dissolving paper will disappear, leaving a firm, slightly waxy finished shape.
Orders of more than one metre may be sent as one piece, unless specified.
