Painted Lady Butterfly PDF instructions

This project was first featured as our Makerss Box in April 2025 and is another butterfly in our already extensive butterfly collection.

Your Painted Lady Butterfly is larger than life and measures about 12-14cm across the wings. 

Techniques: Using water soluble paper and wool to create a delicate 3d shape. Mixing and shortening fibres.

Tools: Felting needles #38 medium #40 fine, felting mat, scissors, glue

You will also  need: a bowl of warm water and tissue or tea towel, a pencil as well as a dark brown or black felt tip pen.

Suitable for Felty Fledglings age 10+ and seasoned needle felters.
