Celebrate the Summer Solstice with this striking large-scale semi-3D needle felting project. Measuring approximately 40cm in diameter, the Solstice Sun is a glorious decorative piece full of warmth, texture and shimmering detail.

Featuring a gentle sun face created with many shades of yellow and golden orange wool, this project allows you to build depth and character using layers of core wool over a structural wool felt base. You’ll sculpt soft facial features and add colour and personality to your sun using beautiful wool blends and shimmering non-heat bondable Angelina fibres. ✨

The sun rays are needle felted separately and include wire armatures, making them fully poseable before being secured to the sun face.

This joyful summer project is perfect for celebrating light, warmth and creativity during the solstice season.
