Wire birds legs - ideal for life-size birds!

  • Simple to use - just insert and then glue into place! For a free tutorial click here
  • Can be bent into shape to create life like legs and toes. (The white legs are easier to bend than the black ones)
  • Colour can be changed by using paint, or florist tape, or wrap with wool and then apply PVA glue layer.
  • Quick, easy and strong

Black legs - 2cm wide across toes x 5cm high - come as single legs which you glue in separately as described in our photo tutorial or description below.

Small White Legs - 5cm wide x 4.5cm high x 5cm deep - come as a joined pair.

Large White legs - 7m wide x 5cm high x 6cm deep. Come as a joined pair which are great for stability. You can clip them with pliers if you wish to separate them). Keep your feltie nice and soft, hold the legs down on the table, and wiggle the feltie onto them. (You may need to make a hole with your needle as below) Add glue to fix.

Wire wonders

I do love a bit of help when it comes to bird feet, and these make my life so much easier. Perfect size and easy to use.

Perfect

The black metal feet were the perfect finishing touch for a chubby felted robin. They were good quality- not at all flimsy but strong enough to withstand some trimming.

(It was the cute little mouse on your email who persuaded me to send a review. Just too cute to resist 🥰 )

Slick finishing touch

Like other reviewers, I'm hopeless at making bird legs, so these are extremely useful. I like to cover them with a thin layer of silk clay to make them less metallic-looking, but they're nicely finished enough not to need that.

Wire bird feet

I bought two sizes of these wire feet for birds I am knitting. My first project of a Barn Owl came out fantastic. I was recommended to get these from here by the Author of a fabulous knitting book.

Bird Legs, I Love them!

I’m rubbish at making my own wire legs despite a great tutorial here (also I don’t have the patience to wait/learn how to do it)! These are great I just use a couple of pairs of jewellery making pliers the bend the toes a bit to make them look more authentic and wrap with The Makerss florist tape (which is a perfect colour for my robins). :-D
