Life-Size Hummingbird Workshop 🌺🐦✨

Create this stunning life-size Hummingbird  — at 9cm it is one of the larger species — caught in a magical moment as it feeds from a beautiful bright flower. 🌸

The bird and flower are connected by wire, so your finished piece can be displayed in a vase or flower pot for a truly show-stopping effect. 🌿

In this workshop you will learn how to mix wool with sparkling fibres for an iridescent finish ✨, how to sculpt and shape a perfect bird 🐦, and how to 2D felt a flower using water-soluble paper. 🌼

Steffi has over 22 years of experience in needle felting and teaches regularly at national events like The Knit & Stitch Shows in London and Harrogate. She’ll guide you step-by-step through how to make a simple miniature wire armature, build up wool layers, and sculpt the body into shape using your felting needle.
