Fundraiser Donkey Large Needle Felt Kit - Supporting Donkey Sanctuary in Nailsworth

HELP US BUY FOOD FOR THE DONKEYS! 🫏💛

We’re so lucky in our little town to be greeted by the welcoming bray of these wonderful (and often mistreated) animals.

Meet Tim and Dawn
Back in October 2015, Tim (with a lifelong love of animals and farming) and his wife Dawn rescued their first donkey, Gussy — left for dead in a field more than 30 years ago. Gussy needed a companion, so along came April and Pedro. Before long, three became six as Rolo, Mags, and her foal Millie joined the family.

And that’s how the sanctuary began.

Today, Tim and Dawn care for 13 donkeys. With Tim bravely managing major health issues — including heart failure, dementia, and Parkinson’s — they rely entirely on volunteers and donations. They don’t take a penny for themselves; every bit goes directly to the donkeys.

💛 The money we raise will be sent straight to Stroud Farm Shop to put against their account, ensuring food is available for the donkeys as we head into autumn and winter.

With every kit you buy 20% of the price you pay will be donated in food.

You are now able to purchase four versions of this kit and this gives you the option to include tools and/or printed instructions. Every version of this kit will have a QR code on the inside of the lid which takes you to the full digital colour step-by-step instructions. We appreciate your support to keep paper consumption down for a greener planet.

• Kit with Paper Instructions - No Tools. This kit comes with all materials, digital QR instructions and printed paper instructions

Suitable for those who have needle felted before and children over 10 (or supervised crafty children 7+).

Techniques used: Using wire and florist tape, wrapping wool, silk clay modelling, basic shaping, adding features.
